All of our kinders have been working very hard this year with identifying letters and sounds. For this project, students worked in small groups and were assigned a specific letter. Using the PicCollage for Kids app, teams created a collage with four parts including their letter and a picture of their team. Each team had the task of locating a book from the “Everybody” section of the library, written by an author whose last name started with their letter for the third section of their collage. The final section of their collage contains an item they found that begins with their assigned letter. All collage pages have been put together to create an alphabet book. We hope you enjoy!
All of our kinders have been using Truckery Rhymes by Jon Scieszka as a reading warm-up component to our Reading Street curriculum. As a final activity, students selected one of three nursery rhymes (truck renditions) to read aloud and create an illustration for. The three nursery rhyme versions of Jack Be NImble, Little Dan Dumper, and Three Loud Trucks are below for you to view. We hope you enjoy!
